Been through Saunders twice and still felt like I was guessing. Started with the TQ marks in endocrine because that's where I fall apart, and studying finally felt narrow instead of endless. The coil's already bent from my bag.

THE BOOK THAT TELLS YOU WHERE TO LOOK
Marked by students who already sat the exam, so you walk in knowing where the questions have actually come from. Full color, coil-bound.

Took it to the testing center parking lot
Sat in my car for twenty minutes going through the TQ marks in cardiac. Didn't learn anything new, just wanted the last thing in my head to be the right thing. Walked in calmer than I've ever been for anything.
Finally stopped re-reading everything
My problem was never not studying. It was studying everything equally like it all mattered the same. This is the first thing that told me where to put the weight. Four weeks out and I'm not spiraling for once.
Wish I'd had it the first time
Failed in March. Came back to it with this and the difference wasn't more hours, it was fewer. I stopped trying to know all of it. Passed at 85.
Good but know what it is
No questions in it, which I did know going in but still worth saying. You need a Qbank alongside this. As a "what am I supposed to actually know" book it's the best thing I've used. Four stars only because shipping took a while.
The clusters thing is real
Didn't believe it until I started noticing which topics had the marks stacked on top of each other. Those were exactly the ones that showed up as select-all on my exam. Not saying it predicts anything but it tells you where to slow down.
Lives on my kitchen table now
Lies completely flat so I can prop it open while I eat, which is the only time I have. It's already got coffee on it.
My study group all bought one
One girl got it first and kept quoting it at us until three of us caved. Now we all show up with the same tabs in the same places. It's become a whole thing. We quiz each other off the marked lines instead of making our own guides from scratch, which used to eat entire Sundays.
Straightforward
Does what it says. No fluff, easy to flip through, colors actually help.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Nobody does. Open to the system you're weakest in and work from there. Most people never read it cover to cover and that's fine.
This is the NCLEX-RN edition. There's a separate PN/VN version — make sure you're ordering the one that matches the exam you're registered for.
The content is built around what's actually being asked, not around a blueprint release. The April 2026 test plan didn't change content weighting, question types, or the passing standard, so nothing in here went stale.
No single resource will, and anyone saying otherwise is selling. This narrows what you carry in. You still need to do questions, and still need the material that isn't marked.
Most people keep using it. It's a quick reference for lab values, drug classes and priority checks, which doesn't stop being useful once you're on the floor as a new grad.
